Great weekends training, checking out the Rother Valley Triathlon bike course. Training this week has been awesome ending with a truly fantastic session at Rother Valley as planned. The usual cycle over to the area on the course for the event next weekend. Having a very good swim set in the lake using my new…
Wakefield Triathlon – July 2012
I competed in the Wakefield Triathlon at the weekend which was mainly to keep my competitiveness edge through this long season. The field was about 100 able bodied triathletes an I ended up coming 5th which I was very happy with.
British Champs – May 2012
I won the British Champs for the 4th time which was an awesome achievement and a brilliant event.
A frosty bite for outside training – 6th February 2012
A week of hard training with adverse weather conditions resulting in running in snow and cycling on my turbo trainer in the snow outside. Swim sessions were good with a PB (which is always nice) for 1500m. A time of 29.30 which is amazing. Always a slight doubt on the number of lengths but even…
A slightly quieter week than usual – 3rd February 2012

Christmas has been spent training as usual although my diet has gone off the rails but all within limits. A bit more alcohol than usual and more chocolate and few more products with a high fat contents. Training has concentrated around running more as pool open times have altered and cycling results in a lot…
Training – 17th December 2011
No major report this week as training has carried on as usual. Swimming on a Friday night with the Eckington Masters is going well and it is fast and hard work but is just what I need. I am the slowest in the group which I accept but also strive to do better on each…
Duathlon – 11th December 2011
I took part in one of our club duathlons on Sunday just gone and it was amazing to be back with the crowd of likeminded ‘mad’ people swimming in the Westfield Pool and then running round the local Rother Valley park in nothing but lycra. It was cold and it was raining and everybody else…
