Typing on today’s Terrific Technology
What modern technology or technique is helping you to write your book, blog or run your business?
Over the last week I’ve been busy typing which has been great.
My process is to look through my diary, my poems and my photo album of the time. I make notes on what I feel is important for the reader and myself. Once I have this list then I can start typing out the stories although there are complications.
I’m typing about my progress through rehabilitation and so some ‘stories’ overlap other ‘stories’. For example I may be talking about my left leg and the physio over a six month period but within that time things were happening with my right leg (another story).
When I put all the stories together there is overlap and also repetition. What’s even worse is that there are some parts that I have left out.
I become aware to all of this as I read through it over and over again but as you can imagine this takes time.
I’m constantly re typing, moving, editing, reading again. I appreciate so much the fact that my computer allows this complicated task. It got me thinking how hard it must have been when you just had a typewriter or just pen and paper. Because of this I will not moan about how hard it is but instead I shall just shut up and carry on. I also know that I will have a lot more of this in the ‘editing stage’. (Yikes!!)
Today’s technology is really helping me and I wondered how it was helping other writers? What modern technology or technique is helping you to write your book, blog or business?
